Slip Cover

Remember? A few weeks ago I went to the garment district in LA and purchased some fabrics? http://suziescottage.blogspot.com/2009/04/los-angeles-garment-district.html
Here are the slip covers I said I was going to make with the fabric I bought. WOW! Making the slip cover was a challenge! Sewing was the least difficult part, but to make it fit to the chair was my biggest headache even though these are armless chairs! Well, as you see the photo, it's not the most greatest fit slip cover, but I'm okay with it! It will work for me for now...

Those look great! I was tempted to try it on a chair at home and chickened out. I ended up buying one (that I don't love, but it works) and made the slipcover for the ottoman instead. It took forever!

I think they are lovely. I can't sew AT ALL. I hate it, it's torure of the worst kind to me! My boyfriend (DC) has these old wooden TV trays. I was looking at them and thinking that some spray enamel would totally transform them. I am going to go out and buy some spray enamel in happy, happy colors--- orange, yellow, lime green-- and see what happens. Project are so much fun!
